Each partipant and volunteer were given names tags to wear at the workshop

Each participant were given a favor bag. In the bag was, lipgloss, mirror, GIA business card, inspirational bracelet, I'm #1 Magnet, and ink pen that reads "God's Team".

Nasheed Johnson, guest speaker spoke to the girls on the topic "I Am Not My Hair" She also told them about Madame C J Walker, 1st black female to earn a $1 Million dollars and made the straigtening comb and encourage women of color to get into the beauty industry.
